The Maximum Controls MAX Super Arm 1300 actuator is the direct replacement linear arm for MAX Super Arm swing gate operator installations. Manufactured in Germany, the actuator is driven by a 24V DC motor through a

direct gear drive with a 1-1/4 in stainless steel output shaft and no internal chains, belts, or pulleys. Stroke extends from a minimum of 37 in to a maximum of 54.75 in, covering the full range of standard residential swing gate mounting configurations. Gate capacity is 1,300 lbs at 8 ft, 800 lbs at 10 ft, and 600 lbs at 12 ft.

The actuator includes Maximum Controls' patented brake and clutch system, which releases automatically when impact force exceeds 2 tons, such as from a vehicle strike while the gate is in motion, and resets without manual intervention. Both front and rear silver zinc plated mounting brackets are included. Mechanical and electrical gate release functions are built in: to manually release, unlock the key lock and lift the hood; to re-engage, push the hood down and lock. The actuator supports both push-open and pull-open installation orientations and is rated for continuous duty operation from -4°F to 165°F (-20°C to +74°C) without a heater.
