The Maximum Controls MAX Super Arm 1300 Dual Kit is a complete bi-parting swing gate operator system consisting of two 24V DC linear actuators and one AC Control Box with DSP Arm Controller configured for dual gate operation. Each actuator, manufactured in Germany, uses a direct gear drive with a 1-1/4 in stainless steel output shaft, a stroke range of 37 in to 54.75 in, and a patented 2-ton overload clutch that releases automatically on vehicle impact and resets without manual intervention. Gate capacity per leaf is 1,300 lbs at 8 ft, 800 lbs at 10 ft, and 600 lbs at 12 ft. Both push-open and pull-open installation orientations are supported, and each leaf can be configured independently. The system is UL 325/991 Class I, II, III, and IV compliant, meets the UL 2018 standard, and is ETL listed and CSA approved.
The DSP Arm Controller manages both actuators from a single control point, with two independently adjustable closing speed controls at 16 positions each. For asymmetric bi-parting installations where one leaf opens to a different angle than the other, the independent closing speeds allow the installer to visually synchronize the closing cycle without additional hardware. The AC Control Box, assembled in the USA, houses the DSP Arm Controller, two 12V 7Ah AGM batteries delivering approximately 500 backup cycles across three selectable modes, a 10A power supply with two 115VAC accessory outlets, a loop rack, LCD display, jog key switch, and UL reset button in a gold zinc plated and powder-coated steel enclosure. Security features include a Tamper Alert relay, Gate Disable function, advanced anti-tailgate detection, and magnetic lock relay outputs with selectable delay times. Lightning protection covers all 35 input, output, and communication channels at up to 20,000V and 10,000A.
