Description

Doorking 2332-080 Wireless System Dual Channel Repeater 900 Mhz

The 900 MHz wireless dual band repeater (DBR) extends the wireless communication range between an access control system (900 MHz wireless baseboard) and 900 MHz wireless tracker expansion board. It gets installed between the wireless devices that are too far or obstructed from each other to reliably communicate with each other. It will receive a signal sent to it and repeat that signal to the next wireless device. ONLY 1 DBR can be used in the same communication line of a tracker expansion board. The signal range of a DBR is Up to 1500 ft direct-line-of-sight with no signal interference. See “900 MHz Wireless Baseboard Manual” for complete access control system ireless setup information.

Double the range with a Dual Band Repeater: Use of repeaters or a wireless board acting as a repeater can send information to and from each other and the access controller up to a 2000 foot range.

Note: DoorKing offers a 900 MHz Wireless Test Range Kit (P/N 1514-140) to allow easy testing of the wireless signal between 2 devices at chosen locations BEFORE installing the devices. The self-powered test kit measures the 900 MHz wireless signal between 2 devices in ANY chosen locations. Ensuring a good signal can be achieved before installation occurs.

How the 900MHz system works: This system works on a “One to Many” configuration, with a single “Base Station” providing connection to multiple “Remote Access Points” using a 900MHz wireless network.

The intelligence built into the DKS Wireless modules will transmit the signal from a Tracker Board back to the 1830 Controller using this wireless network. When a new card read is generated at the access device, the system looks to see if there are any ongoing transmissions. When the network path is clear, it will send the access request to the controller.

When “Wireless Trackers” are connected directly to the “Base Station” the system functions well, with little concern for Traffic on the Wireless Network or Hold Open periods. However, when one or more trackers are routed through a Repeater, there is an additional delay in transmission time to the Base Station. In high traffic applications, this may lead to occasional “collisions” in the wireless network. This could result in a card read not reaching the base station, meaning you may need to present the card a 2nd time to grant access.

Features
  • 900MHz Dual Band Repeater
  • Works with: 1833, 1835, 1837 (80 and 90 Series) and 1838 Multi-Door Access
  • NOT used with 1838 Access Plus model.
  • Reverse Compatibility: Wireless Kits provide a 900MHz LoRa® link between the Access Controller and Card Readers, Keypads or almost any 26, 30 or 31-bit Wiegand device.
  • Simple Programming: Connect Card Readers, Keypads and other devices to the Access Controller without the need for trenching, conduits or wire runs. This is a great time, labor and money saver.
  • Improved Security: RF signals are encrypted to provide a secure data link between the access points and the Access Controller.
