High-Usage Single-Lane Traffic Control with Fast 2.5-Second Operation

The DoorKing 1601-380 Barrier Gate Operator is designed for high-usage vehicular traffic control at commercial properties, industrial facilities, gated communities, apartment complexes, and controlled parking entrances. It operates a single traffic lane with barrier arms up to 14 ft long, raising the arm through 90 degrees in approximately 2.5 seconds.

A 1/2 HP continuous-duty AC motor drives a 60:1 worm gear reduction system operating in a continuous oil bath. DoorKing's 360-degree gearbox rotation design changes the gearbox position between cycles to distribute wear across the gear system, while magnetic electronic limits control the arm's up and down positions.

The 1601-380 provides dedicated inputs for access controls, vehicle loops, reversing devices, and traffic-management functions. It also supports P.A.M.S. sequencing with a DoorKing slide or swing gate operator when an entrance uses both a barrier arm and a security gate.

A DoorKing 8080-057 monitored retro-reflective photocell is included for pedestrian protection beneath the barrier arm. The barrier arm and required arm-mounting hardware are selected separately to match the lane and desired arm style.
