The DoorBird A1121 WiFi Smart Keypad is an IP-based access control device for doors, gates, garages, side entrances, storage rooms, equipment rooms, elevator control points, and other secured openings where a full video door station is not required. The A1121 combines a 12-key illuminated keypad, dual-frequency RFID reader, Bluetooth transceiver, two onboard relays, Wiegand output, and remote configuration through the DoorBird app or web-based administration tool. Each PIN code or RFID credential can be assigned individual actions, schedules, and validities, making the unit useful for permanent users, service access, temporary visitor access, and time-restricted entry.

Network connection can be made by 2.4 GHz WiFi or wired Ethernet. When a network cable is used, the A1121 can also be powered by PoE, reducing the need for a separate local power supply. The unit can also be powered by 15 to 48VDC and includes a power supply in the standard scope of delivery. If internet service is temporarily unavailable, local network functions continue to operate within the site network.

The A1121 includes two potential-free bistable latching relays for controlling electric door openers, gate inputs, elevator calls, or similar access-control circuits. For higher-security door release wiring, DoorBird recommends using a remote safety relay such as the DoorBird A1081 I/O Door Controller, which can also add control for up to three additional gates, doors, or elevators.
