The LiftMaster LA500XL20W Solar Swing Gate Operator Kit combines the high-capacity LA500 linear actuator with a dedicated solar power package for residential and light commercial vehicular swing gates where running AC power to the entrance is impractical.

The LA500 supports up to 1,600 lb at 8 ft, 1,200 lb at 12 ft, 800 lb at 16 ft, or 600 lb at 18 ft. Its 24 VDC continuous-duty motor, commercial-duty cast aluminum housing, and precision-machined all-metal gear drive provide up to 300 cycles per day under the operator's standard duty rating, while soft start and soft stop provide controlled gate movement.

This solar configuration includes two 10W solar panels, two 33Ah batteries, the large metal solar control box, battery tray, solar harness, and LMRRUL monitored photoeye. The two 10W panels are wired in series for a 24V solar charging system, while the larger 33Ah batteries provide substantially more stored energy than the standard LA500's 7Ah batteries.

The LA500 also supports myQ technology for remote monitoring and gate control when paired with the LiftMaster 828LM Internet Gateway or other compatible myQ equipment.
