PERFECT DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT!
DO THIS REPLACEMENT YOURSELF. It took longer to watch the videos than to replace the belt. I am very pleased with the ease of finding the proper part# (they change over the years) and ordering. Shipping was as expected, no issues. Elite Gate YouTube videos are available for installation and very helpful. The Drive Belt itself is robust-sturdy and thick enough to take the constant opening and closing of our slide gate. I have no idea how old the old belt was (we have been here 5 years), but it was dried and cracked all over. My husband is of the opinion, "if it's not broken, don't fix it." I am of the opinion, "fix it before it fails... at a really bad moment." I thought getting the belt on the drive wheel was going to be hard, but it was super easy. While you're in there, clean out the dirt and gook, and spray silicone lubricant on the chain and moving parts. If it's a sliding gate and the chain is almost dragging, adjust the chain. 14-21 minutes of TLC to maintain the system is easier than to replace it. I'm over 60 and this was a very satisfying little project. Thank you, Elite!
