The Maximum Controls MAX Mini Edge is a maintenance-free EPDM rubber reversing safety edge for swing and slide gate installations where a small physical footprint is required without compromising entrapment protection performance. Manufactured in Germany and ETL listed, the MAX Mini Edge is built around a copper braid and conductive switching surface housed within a high-isolating outer EPDM shell. When the contact surface is engaged, the internal conductive components trigger gate reversal, stopping movement to reduce the risk of injury or equipment damage. The compact cross-section profile, 15.5mm wide by 9.1mm high, makes it suitable for installations where gate frame clearance limits the use of a larger edge sensor, including posts, columns, and narrow-profile gate hardware where a full-size edge would create a visual or clearance conflict.

The MAX Mini Edge uses soft touch engagement and multidirectional sensing to detect contact from multiple angles on the leading edge.
