The Maximum Controls MAX Cell Hub is the hardware component required to enable Max Cloud App functionality on compatible Maximum Controls gate operators. Made in the USA, the Cell Hub connects to the Module Port of the Matrix III or DSP Arm Controller board and provides cellular connectivity via AT&T or Verizon data service, selectable at purchase based on coverage needs. Once installed and activated, the Max Cloud App allows users to issue open and close commands, manage user access, monitor gate status, and retrieve diagnostic data remotely from a smartphone or tablet. The Cell Hub operates on battery backup, remaining functional during power outages.

The Cell Hub supports RS485 communication with up to 16 peripheral devices, including Max Keypads and Max Wiegand Converters for card readers, radio receivers, and RFID transponders. All user programming including keycodes, Wiegand device credentials, guest passes, time restrictions, and auto open/close timers is handled through the Max Cloud App rather than a web portal. Conclusion

The MAX Cell Hub is not compatible with the Phantom F6 or 2000 Plus models. A cellular data plan is required and purchased separately at max.us.com. Select the AT&T or Verizon variant based on coverage at the installation site. For pad-mount operators, the Cell Hub mounts on the chassis using Velcro  or self-tapping screws. For actuator arm installations, it mounts inside the MAX AC Control Box using a 4 in antenna extension cord and 2 washers (not included) to route the antenna through the enclosure. After connection, the Cell Link LED should blink to confirm active signal; a solid non-blinking Cell Link LED indicates no signal. Installations near metal mesh gates, metal-sided buildings, or hillside terrain may require a high-gain directional antenna to achieve reliable connectivity.
