The Maximum Controls MAX 1500 PRO is a high-traffic commercial slide gate operator built around a 24V brushless DC motor and Advanced Matrix III controller, rated for gates up to 1,500 lbs and 50 ft at 12 inches per second. The brushless motor uses an integrated Hall Effect encoder to capture over 30 positional samples per inch of gate travel, giving the DSP controller the precision needed for ramp-up, ramp-down, and immediate stops without over-coasting. A Size 50, 30:1 cast iron direct drive gearbox with bronze gears, double-sealed heat-treated solid shafts, and a synthetic oil bath eliminates the chains, belts, and pulleys found in conventional drive systems. Motor life expectancy is rated at 6 million cycles, approximately 35,000 hours, backed by a 5-year warranty. The MAX 1500 PRO is UL 325/991 Class I, II, III, and IV compliant, meets the UL 2018 standard, and is ETL listed and CSA approved.

Security and power continuity are built into the base unit. The Fail Secure designation is supported by Maximum Controls' patented Tamper Alert relay, which triggers on chain-drop or forced gate movement, and the Gate Disable feature, which blocks open commands from tampered keypads or triggered exit loops. The included AGM battery backup averages 200 cycles per charge across three selectable modes, a Solar Ready input with built-in solar regulator accommodates off-grid installations, and the power supply accepts switchable 115V or 230V AC without drawing on the battery during normal AC operation. Conclusion

Safety sensors are required for UL 325 2018 compliance and are not included with the MAX 1500 PRO. The Matrix III controller supports both N.C. and 10K-type sensor inputs with up to 12 sensor connections. For bi-parting slide gate installations on a shared track, the DSP-controlled brushless motor eliminates over-coasting, allowing precise simultaneous stopping of both gates. The optional heavy-duty steel cover is sold only in conjunction with a slide gate operator purchase and is not available as a standalone order. The optional Max Cloud App is not compatible with the Phantom F6 or 2000 Plus models.
