Review of Eagle E199 Lower Chassis for Eagle 1000
I own an Eagle 1000 slide gate opener and it has provided me with many years of great service. The lower chassis has not rusted-out and I decided that I would replace it with a new chassis from Eagle. I looked online for the replacement chassis and thought I’d found it but I had my doubt because the illustration was not exactly the same as the one I was trying to replace. I contacted Eagle and was assured that the replacement I would be sent is the same. I received the replacement and it is not the same at all. I am very disappointed! I live in the Virgin Islands, and it was very costly for me to have the chassis shipped here but I figured that it would be certainly worth it. I am troubled that I went to the trouble to contact Eagle to be sure I would get the correct part and clearly I was misled. I will have to work with a welder and see if I can have modifications made to what I received or maybe have the chassis custom built. Again, I am extremely disappointed with the poor service that I received from Eagle Gates.
