Operating on BLE LR 2.4 GHz with E Code technology and ultra-secure encryption, the L991S delivers up to 1,300 ft of range under optimal conditions, making it well suited for long driveways, commercial entries, and gated residential applications where line-of-sight distance is a factor. The L991S controls one Security+ 3.0 garage door opener per remote. Programming can be completed in three ways: through the myQ app via QR code scan, directly using the opener's LEARN button, or through a compatible wall control panel. When programmed through the myQ app, the remote can be named, and users receive access history logs and notifications each time the remote activates the opener — a meaningful advantage for properties with multiple users or access points. A CR2032 coin cell battery is included. The LED on the remote stops flashing when the battery is low, and battery status is also visible in the myQ app.
