Installation Tips

1. Preparation: Unpack and straighten the sensing edge to its original shape and dimension.
2. Mounting Channel: Attach the sensing edge to the mounting channel.
3. Positioning: Attach the edge and mounting channel to the leading edge of the door, gate, or fixture.
4. Hole Drilling: Drill 1/8” diameter holes, starting 3” from the end of the mounting channel every 24” through both legs of the channel into the door, gate, or fixture.
5. Lead Wire Connection: Secure the lead wire of the sensing edge to the end stile of the door, gate, or fixture with a JB02 junction box.
6. Coil Cord Connection: Connect a coil cord from the JB02 junction box to another junction box mounted on an adjoining wall approximately halfway up the door opening.
7. Wire Routing: Hardwire from the second junction box to the operator.
8. Testing: Verify the sensing edge and wiring to ensure the sensing circuit is working properly.
