Straight / Articulating Barrier Arms for the LiftMaster TECHNA PBG24DC Parking Operator

LiftMaster TECHNA barrier arms for the PBG24DC are available in straight and articulating configurations across 10 ft and 12 ft functional lengths. All arms are aluminum extrusion construction with reinforced male/female joining sections, secure fasteners throughout, and a bottom channel designed to accept BGARMFOAM padding to minimize vehicle contact damage. Straight arms ship in 6-foot modular sections for transport and on-site assembly; a 10 ft arm ships as an arm mount section plus one 6 ft section, while a 12 ft arm adds a 2 ft section. Articulating arms ship fully assembled in a single carton box, with the arm joint reinforced by a torsion bar and secured with bolts, nuts, and washers at the pivot point. Only LiftMaster arms are UL listed with this operator.

Articulating arms pivot upward on vehicle strike, allowing the vehicle to pass without operator damage. Two clearance heights are available per length: 84 inches and 98 inches. Clearance height is measured from the base of the operator to the bottom of the arm in the open position, not from grade. Confirm site clearance requirements before selecting.

Articulating Arms

Conclusion

All arms are sold separately from the PBG24DC operator. Straight arms require the TECHNA Parking arm bracket. Articulating arms are not compatible with the CBG or IBG operator series. If the swingaway installation type is selected for straight arms, confirm a minimum of 7 ft clearance from the outer edge of the operator to any pedestrian walkway parallel to the roadway; if that clearance is not available, use breakaway or fixed installation instead.
